Class 1 HGV Driver – Newly Qualified Drivers
Salary: £38,000 during training, rising to up to £47,218.22 once fully signed off (plus overtime)
Shifts: 5 on 3 off. Shift starts at 4am

We understand that gaining your licence is only the beginning. That's why we offer a comprehensive 6-week paid training programme, where you'll work alongside one of our experienced driver trainers to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in a professional driving role. During your training period, you'll earn a salary of £38,000. Once you've successfully completed your training and are signed off to undertake deliveries independently, your salary will increase to up to £47,218.22, plus overtime.

Salary & Benefits
- £38,000 basic
- Up to £47,218.22, plus overtime once signed off
- Competitive per day overtime rate

- £1,000 per year no-bump bonus.
- CPC training delivered on site with our registered trainers, delivered within working hours

- Paid medicals for drivers aged 45 and over when your current license is due for renewal

Tasks and Responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Driver
- Making multi drop deliveries and assisting in the unloading of products and cages into stores.
- Collecting stock and delivering to site.
- Collection of empty pallets, steel and cardboard from stores and returning to the distribution centre.
- Completion of daily vehicle checks and maintaining working order of company vehicles and any equipment on-board. Reporting of any vehicle damage or faults.
Successful HGV Class 1 Drivers will have the following
- Full and current Class 1 C+E driving license
- Must hold a DIGI tacho card
- Good knowledge of driving laws and regulations
- Able to communicate and clearly follow written and verbal instructions, able to lift and manoeuvre medium to heavy loads
