Manpower are recruiting HGV Cat C+E Class 1 Drivers for our client based in Northwich.

Salary

£38,670.53 per annum plus a Class 1 supplement of £1,439.88 Paid monthly

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

  • Start times between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM
  • Typical shifts are around 10 hours
  • Average of 5 days per week, with up to 6 days out of 7 when required
  • Working pattern covers Sunday to Saturday
  • Average of 48 hours per week over a rolling 26-week reference period
  • Maximum of 60 hours in a single week where required
  • Fixed rota pattern with schedules published weekly, providing approximately one week's notice
  • No overtime available

Routes & Deliveries

  • Long-distance routes covering areas from Glasgow to Essex
  • Class 1 customer delivery work with multi-drop deliveries
  • Following planned routes and schedules to provide consistent customer service
  • Managing shop fixtures and deliveries in line with customer requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service and act as a professional ambassador for the business
  • Complete all paperwork and electronic documentation accurately
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and personal presentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with all transport legislation, including:
    • Tachograph regulations
    • Working Time Directive (WTD)
    • Driver CPC requirements
    • Vehicle defect reporting
    • Load security and weight checks
  • Support regular and relief delivery routes as required
  • Drive safely and professionally, adhering to the Highway Code and speed limits
  • Champion Health & Safety standards at all times

Requirements

  • Valid Category C+E (Class 1) licence
  • Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience within the last 3 years
  • Current Driver CPC card
  • Strong understanding of tachograph legislation
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
  • Good attention to detail
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
  • Strong team player
