Job: HGV Class 1 Driver with Shunting Duties (Alloga UK)
Location: Derby Working Days: Monday to Friday (start time between 12:00-16:00) Hours: 48 hours per week Rate of Pay: £16.43-£21.85 per hour About the Role:
Join Alloga UK, part of Cencora, a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people and animals.
As a Class I HGV Driver and Shunter, you will play a vital role in delivering professional customer logistics services while maintaining high standards of safety and competence. You will operate out of our distribution centres at Derby Commercial Park and South Normanton, ensuring deliveries throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver goods promptly and safely, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays or contingent issues.
- Complete documentation accurately, including proof of deliveries and returns.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and adhere to road safety standards (speed limits and traffic regulations).
- Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and ensure secure loading practices.
- Report risks, incidents, or temperature-related anomalies if they arise.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Class 1 driving.
- Forklift driving/shunting proficiency.
Skills:
- A smart appearance and professional demeanor.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 (Logistics/Transport) or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
