HGV Class 1/ LGV C+E Drivers - Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan
Days & Nights | Immediate starts | 6 Weekly Rota
HG Recruitment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers / LGV C+E Drivers for ongoing work with our established client in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. We have both day and night Class 1 / LGV C+E driving positions available, offering competitive pay rates, weekly wages, regular ongoing shifts, and the opportunity for temp-to-perm employment.
Pay Rates (Holiday Pay Inclusive)
Days
- Monday to Friday: £22.41 per hour
- Saturday: £23.76 per hour
- Sunday: £25.05 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £35.41 per hour
Nights
- Monday to Friday: £23.53 per hour
- Saturday: £24.88 per hour
- Sunday: £26.17 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £35.41 per hour
Overtime
- £39.02 per hour after 45 hours
Work Details
Days Store Deliveries
- Approximately 13 drops per shift
- Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
- 10-12 hour shifts
- Manual handling required
- Minimum 8 hours paid per shift

Nights Trunking
- Trunking work
- Start times between 16:00 and 18:00
- 10-12 hour shifts
- No manual handling required
- Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
Work Pattern

Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 / LGV C+E licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence
- Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Reliable and professional approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
