HGV Class 1 Driver – Live Bird Transportation
Pay: £183.51 per day + enhanced overtime rates
Locations: Flixton
The Role
Driver Hire Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft is recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers specialising in live bird transportation.
You’ll be responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient transportation of live birds while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and biosecurity.

Key Responsibilities
- Transport live birds safely and in line with animal welfare regulations
- Adhere to strict biosecurity procedures
- Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
- Follow health & safety guidelines at all times
- Maintain accurate driving hours and working time records
What We Offer
- £183.51 per day
- Weekly pay + holiday & pension
- Day shifts – occasional weekends
- Upskilling opportunities – Gain Moffett licence
Requirements
- Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Live Bird Transportation Certificate – preferred but training would be considered
- Valid CPC & Digital Tacho Card
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 1 experience preferred
- Maximum 6 points (no CD, IN, DD or DR endorsements)
- Strong knowledge of Driving Hours Regulations & WTR
