HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted at Unilever in Leeds
We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our customer Site Unilever in Leeds, for our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service, and dependable delivery standards.
Job Details
- Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, including night shifts
- Night Shift Timing: 18:00
- Pay Rates:
- Mon-Fri Nights: £16.35 per hour
- Saturday and Sunday Nights: £18.65 per hour
- Bank Holidays: £18.96 per hour
- Additional Benefits: £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance

Driver Responsibilities
- General Haulage with Curtainside trailers to Distribution Centres and Stores
- Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
- Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
- Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
- Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation

Qualifications
- You should hold a valid C+E Licence
- Ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions
- Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
- Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation
- Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
- Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills
