The Vacancy
Uniserve is looking for a dependable and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our growing transport team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods during night-time operations. This position plays an important part in keeping our logistics network running smoothly overnight.
Salary: £40,085 annual
Shift pattern: Rolling rota of 4 on, 4 off
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle to complete night trunking, collections, and deliveries
- Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks in line with company and DVSA standards
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly and meet safety requirements
- Follow tachograph rules, Working Time Directive regulations, and road transport legislation
- Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately
- Communicate clearly with the night transport office and planners
- Maintain a professional approach and represent the company positively
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy

Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in night trunking or general haulage (preferred)
- Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, safety-focused, and attentive to detail
