Job Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Class 1 Night Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods while delivering a high standard of service to our clients. The position may involve long-haul or regional routes, including occasional overnight stays depending on scheduling.
Salary
£40,800 per year
Shift Pattern
4 on, 4 off 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle safely and professionally
- Transport goods to and from designated locations on schedule
- Carry out pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment checks
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and inspection documentation
- Load and unload freight when required
- Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams and customers
- Ensure cargo is secured correctly and report any issues promptly
- Perform minor maintenance checks and report vehicle defects

Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence with a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience (preferred, but new passes considered)
- Ability to operate a range of trailer types
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
- Physically able to lift and handle cargo when required
