The Role

At GBA Logistics, we're expanding - and we're looking for professional Class 1 Drivers to join our Dedicated Fleet team in Scunthorpe. This is an exciting time to come on board. Whether you're on the road or at a delivery point, you'll represent GBA with pride and professionalism. This is more than just a driving role - you'll be contributing to our mission of providing exceptional logistics solutions and helping to maintain the strong reputation we've built in the industry. The role involves general haulage and dock work with a requirement to stay out 4 nights per week. We're not just recruiting drivers - we're building a close-knit, family-feel team that reflects our company values of professionalism, respect, teamwork and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
  • Ensure safe and secure loading with correct load restraint
  • Comply with traffic laws, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
  • Drive safely and fuel-efficiently
  • Complete regular walk-around inspections
  • Deliver excellent customer service at every touchpoint
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional presentation

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • A customer-friendly manner with a positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong understanding of tachograph rules and Working Time Directive
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Minimum 6 months UK Class 1 (LGV C+E) driving experience
  • No DD or DR offences
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
