Job Description
We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our CML team in Telford, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK.
This is a permanent day driving role offering full-time stability, and the opportunity to be part of a trusted logistics operation. You’ll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift patterns available
- 4 on 4 off Days (start times between 07:00 - 12:00)
- 5 on 3 off Days (start time between 07:00 - 12:00)
Due to the nature of the products being delivered, our drivers will have 3 hour start windows to ensure they are flexible depending on volume.
Pay rates
Our HGV Drivers have strong earning potential, with OTE earnings ranging from £41756 to £52000 depending on shift pattern, overtime and applicable allowances.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
- Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
- Load and unload where required using PPT equipment.
- Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
- Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
- Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
- Take advantage of night-out runs where available, if this is something you are interested in.

Qualifications
- Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence and valid DCPC
- Minimum 6 months experience driving LGV
- Full UK Driving License
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training
- Conscientious and reliable
- Professional and approachable
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines
- Able to work using own initiative or as part of a team
- Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours
