HGV Class 1 C+E Driver
Uniserve is looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 C+E Driver to join our Heathrow airline transfer operation. You’ll be responsible for transferring import and export airfreight shipments between airline cargo terminals and handling agents in and around Heathrow, helping to ensure freight is moved safely, efficiently and on time.
This is a hands-on driving role involving regular manual handling, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with the physical demands of moving freight, pallets and ULDs. Previous airline transfer or airfreight experience would be an advantage, but most importantly, you’ll bring a strong focus on safety, compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 C+E vehicles in line with legal, airport, customer and company requirements.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects.
- Carry out airline transfers, collections and deliveries between cargo terminals and handling agent sites around Heathrow.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including airway bills, delivery notes, PODs and electronic records.
- Ensure full compliance with Drivers’ Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.
- Safely handle freight, pallets and ULDs, undertaking manual handling throughout the shift.
- Communicate effectively with transport planners, airline representatives, cargo handling agents and customers regarding delays, shortages, damage or operational changes.
- Represent Uniserve professionally, maintaining excellent standards of safety, service and conduct at all times.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
