Class 1 Nights – Regular Monday to Friday Work in Lichfield
Drivers Today are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver for a busy pallet distribution operation based at Fradley Park, Lichfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 1 driver who wants consistent Monday-to-Friday night work with a regular routine rather than constantly changing routes and start locations.
The work primarily involves moving palletised freight between a local depot and the main distribution hub in the Lichfield area, using HGV Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles.
Both locations are in the Lichfield area, so this isn't long-distance trunking or nights away from home.
What does the job involve?
You'll be responsible for safely and professionally moving palletised loads between the local operation and main hub.
Your duties will include:
- HGV Class 1 / Category C+E driving
- Monday-to-Friday night shifts
- Local movements between depot and hub
- Palletised freight
- Curtain-sided trailers
- Trailer collections and movements
- Vehicle and trailer checks
- Load security
- Accurate transport paperwork
- Working closely with the transport team
- No nights out

What we're looking for
For this particular vacancy you will need:
- Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Category C+E / Class 1 licence
- Driver CPC fully up to date
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- Professional approach to vehicle and load safety
- Good communication skills
- Reliable attendance and timekeeping
- Ability to work regular night shifts
- Previous experience with curtain-sided trailers, pallet networks, hub operations or night trunking would be particularly useful.
