Salary: £17 per hour | £19.05 with Holiday Pay
overtime after 8h £24.75/h or £27.73/h with holiday included
Job Type: Full-time, ongoing
Shifts: Night shifts Monday to Friday 6pm-7pm start
About the Role
Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers on behalf of our client based in Preston.
This role involves nationwide deliveries and collections, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- 1-3 stops per shift
- Secure loads safely and follow correct strapping procedures.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and a professional attitude at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with current CPC and Digi Tacho card.
- Minimum 1 year UK experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of EU driver hours, regulations, and compliance.
- No more than 6 points on your licence and no major endorsements (e.g. DR10, IN10, TT99).
- Reliable, flexible, and customer-focused.
- Able to complete paperwork accurately and follow instructions independently.
