HGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Avonmouth, Bristol
Base Pay Rate: £19.23 per hour
Enhanced Pay Rate: £24.04 per hour (for applicable enhanced shifts)
Shift Pattern: Any 5 days from 7
Position Type: Full-Time / Ongoing / Long-Term Bookings
Pay Rates & Benefits
- Base Rate: £19.23 per hour
- Enhanced Rate: £24.04 per hour (applicable for nights / weekends / overtime depending on assignment)
- Night shift from 21.00 - 03.00: £26.92 per hour
- Work Security: Long-term, ongoing bookings available with regular start times.
- Flexible Scheduling: Shift rotation across any 5 days from 7.
- Weekly Pay: Reliable direct payments every week
Role Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for long-term work based in Avonmouth. This role offers consistent full-time shift patterns across 5 days out of 7, with competitive base rates and enhanced pay rates available.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform safe and timely deliveries of goods across regional and national routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects immediately.
- Ensure all load security regulations and safety compliance standards are met.
- Accurately complete digital tachograph logs and delivery documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service when delivering to hubs, depots, or customer sites.
- Adhere strictly to EU Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive (WTD), and road safety regulations.

Candidate Requirements
- Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence (minimum 6 months to 1 year experience preferred).
- Cards: Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Endorsements: Maximum of 6 penalty points on licence (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements for insurance purposes).
- Skills: Strong understanding of driver hours and tacho regulations, good spatial awareness, and strong communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and capable of working as part of a busy operational team.
