Drivers Required HGV Class 1 Yard Shunter earn up to £52,416 per year
Location: Rugby (EVRi Distribution Centre)
HG Recruitment are recruiting HGV Class 1 Yard Shunters in partnership with EVRi Rugby. Apply now to secure excellent pay rates and stable night shifts.
Shift Pattern:
- Nights: 17:45 - 06:30
- 5 on / 2 off rota
Pay Rates:
- Days (06:00-19:00): £18.49 - £19.57 p/h
- Nights (19:00-06:00): £20.85 - £24.24 p/h
- Saturdays: £19.90 p/h
- Sundays: £23.03 p/h
Estimated Weekly Pay (48h nights): £1,000.80
Estimated Annual Earnings: £52,416
Duties:
- Yard shunting and trailer movements
- Inter-site runs
- Yard control and positioning trailers
DUTIES:
- Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
- Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
- HGVShunterdrivers must Carry out depot trailer movements.
- Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.
- Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills.
- Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised.
- Possess an Enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first class customer service.
- Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.

Requirements:
- HGV C+E Class 1 licence minimum 6 months.
- Digi Tacho & CPC cards.
- Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements.
- Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Drivers Hours).
- Good national geographical awareness.
- Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills.
- Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
- Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service.
- Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.
