The Job
Looking for a change from long-distance driving, overnight stays and sitting in traffic? We have the perfect opportunity for you!
We’re looking for a reliable and safety-conscious HGV Class 1 (CE) Shunter Driver to join our team on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for a driver who prefers to be home every day, enjoys a practical, hands-on role and wants to get away from the stress of life on the open road.
Day work only - no nights out, no long-distance runs and, best of all, no traffic jams!

What You'll Be Doing
- Shunting trailers safely around the site.
- Moving trailers between loading bays and designated parking areas.
- Positioning vehicles and trailers as required.
- Carrying out vehicle safety checks.
- Following all site safety procedures.
- Working closely with the transport and warehouse teams to keep operations running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) driving licence.
- A valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card, as applicable to the role.
- A safe, responsible and professional approach to driving.
- Good communication skills and a reliable attitude.
- Previous shunting experience would be an advantage, but relevant experience and a willingness to learn are welcome.
