Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site HGV Class 1 tramper role based in Meriden. The role involves driving HGV Class 1 vehicles to collect and transport waste wood between customer sites and A&A Recycling Services facilities, often with nights out as part of tramper work. Day-to-day tasks include:

The driver will work closely with transport planners and site teams to ensure timely collections, adherence to safety and environmental standards, and efficient use of vehicles and equipment. The position requires flexibility with working hours, a professional attitude toward customers and colleagues, and a commitment to maintaining vehicles and machinery to a high standard.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, up-to-date Driver CPC, and a digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience in HGV driving, ideally including tramper work and bulk or waste sector transport.
- Strong awareness of road safety, load security, and compliance with UK transport regulations and working time rules.
- Ability to complete paperwork and digital records accurately, including delivery notes, manifests, and vehicle check reports.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when interacting with customers, site staff, and transport planners.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently, including nights out in the vehicle.
- Basic mechanical awareness to identify and report vehicle defects promptly; willingness to follow company maintenance procedures.
- Previous experience in recycling, waste management, or forestry-related transport is beneficial but not essential.
