About The Role
This HGV Class 1 Tramper role in Scunthorpe offers £190 per day on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis through Rapier Employment. Working Monday to Friday, the driver will carry out vehicle checks and general haulage, including collections with trailer swaps and RDC deliveries using curtain siders and box trailers across the north and midlands. Tramping involves nights away, with £25 paid per night out.
Applicants need a C+E licence held for at least twelve months, plus three months of commercial experience to satisfy insurance criteria. No DR10, CD10 or IN10 convictions are permitted, and no more than six points. A Digital Tachograph Card and valid CPC qualification are essential. A positive, can-do approach is expected.

HGV Class 1 Driver Tramping Role
Location: Scunthorpe
Pay: £190.00 per shift
Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client on the outskirts of Scunthorpe.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Vehicle checks
- General haulage.
- Collections with trailer swaps and RDC work.
- Curtain siders, Box trailers.
- Delivering regionally, across the north and midlands.

The Ideal Candidate
- Held your HGV C+E licence for at least 12 months
- You must have at least 3 months commercial experience for insurance purposes
- “Can do” attitude
- No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s - NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS
- Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
Hours + Shifts
- Monday to Friday Days tramping
- Shift rate £190 days tramping. £25 per night out.
