HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Driver

Are you a professional, safety-conscious Class 1 Driver looking for stable, long-term work? Haden Hill Transport Ltd is a rapidly growing transport company, and we are looking for dedicated HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers to join our team. We specialise in traction-only work, operating purely from fulfilment centre to fulfilment centre. If you want to work with modern vehicles, enjoy a positive company culture, and prefer to keep your hands on the wheel rather than on the freight, this is the role for you.

Your Shift Pattern & Duties

This is a tramping role requiring flexibility for day and night driving.

  • Schedule: 5 shifts out per week, with Sunday starting shifts.
  • Core Duty: Drop and swap trailers (traction-only work) to and from fulfilment centres.
  • Navigation: Deliver using efficient, pre-planned routes.
  • Compliance: Complete daily vehicle checks, report defects, maintain legal driving hours, and keep accurate tachograph records.
  • Professionalism: Maintain high safety standards in all weather conditions and communicate professionally with clients and warehouse staff.

  • Licence & Cards: A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence, up-to-date Driver CPC qualification, and a Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Experience: 1 year of HGV driving experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Clean Record: No more than 6 penalty points (Strictly No DD, DR, or IN endorsements) and the ability to pass background checks.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, excellent time management to meet tight deadlines, and the ability to read and speak English fluently.
