Pure Staff's Driving Team
Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for one of our long-standing customers based in Hereford. If you enjoy life on the road and want the opportunity to maximise your weekly earnings, this is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest privately owned logistics businesses. Whether you prefer 2 nights out, 3 nights out or tramping all week, we'll work with you to build a schedule that suits you.
Pay Rates
- Monday to Friday (Days) - £18.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £20.73ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
- Monday to Friday (Nights) - £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
- Weekend (Days) - £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
- Weekend (Nights) - £24.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £26.90ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
£25 Paid Night-Out Allowance for every night spent away from home. Choose the holiday pay option that suits you best. With Pure Staff, assignment schedules/booking confirmations and payslips clearly confirm whether Rolled-Up Holiday Pay applies, so you always know exactly what you're earning.

The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver in Hereford, you'll be transporting palletised goods using modern articulated vehicles across nationwide distribution routes. Typical work includes:
- 1 to 3 deliveries or collections per shift
- Average shift lengths of 8-10 hours (occasional 12-hour shifts)
- Modern, well-maintained fleet
- Nationwide trunking and distribution work
- Paid night-outs
- Consistent ongoing work with regular bookings
- Excellent opportunity to secure reliable long-term work or a permanent position

What You'll Need
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver in Hereford, you'll need:
- UK Category C+E Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
- Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations and vehicle safety checks
- Previous palletised distribution or general haulage experience is beneficial but not essential
