HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers (LTD)
Location: Burton-upon-Trent area
Position: Ongoing Tramping Work / Flexible Shift Patterns (4-on-4-off, Mon-Fri, or Weekend Blocks)
Pay Rates (LTD):
- Days: £19.50 / hr
- Nights: £21.50 / hr
- Saturday: £22.50 / hr
- Sunday: £24.50 / hr
- Night Out Allowance: £25.00 per night tax-free / non-taxable equivalent
About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers for long-term, ongoing work with a major logistics provider operating out of the Burton-upon-Trent area.
This role involves nationwide trunking and trunking/distribution runs, utilizing clean box trailers with minimal manual handling required. Multiple shift schedules are available to fit around your preferred working pattern including standard Monday-Friday tramping, 4-on-4-off rotas, or fixed weekend shifts.

Duties Include:
- Long-distance trunking and planned distribution across major UK routes
- Clean, straightforward box trailer work with minimal manual labor
- Managing required rest periods, daily vehicle checks, and digital tachograph logging
- Keeping cab standards high during multi-day tramping stints
Key Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Full flexibility for multi-night tramping stays
- Sound understanding of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive rules
- Reliable, professional, and confident driving long distances nationwide
