HGV Class 2 Twilight Trunk Driver | Plymouth
HG Recruitment are recruiting experienced Class 2 Drivers in partnership with EVRi to support their Plymouth distribution centre. Minimum shifts 7 hours guaranteed and 5 shifts a week. Minimum of 35 hours with a potential to boost hours.
This is a fantastic opportunity working Monday to Friday, with 12:30 starts, offering approximately 5-6 hours per shift. You'll complete 2-3 trunk runs each day between the Plymouth depot and local EVRi Distribution Units, making this an ideal role for drivers who are confident working independently and enjoy a well-planned operation.
Immediate starts available following a successful driving assessment.
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- Days:
- £15.10 per hour (Holiday Accrued)
- £16.92 per hour (Holiday Included)

The Role
As a Class 2 Twilight Trunk Driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring parcels are moved safely and efficiently between EVRi sites. Working independently, you'll complete scheduled trunk runs while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
Key Duties
- Complete 2-3 trunk runs per shift between the Plymouth depot and local EVRi Distribution Units.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure loads are transported safely and securely.
- Comply with Driver Hours, Tachograph and Working Time Regulations.
- Complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Maintain excellent communication with the transport team.
- Represent HG Recruitment and EVRi professionally at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- A minimum of 3-6 months' Class 2 driving experience is essential.
- Confident working independently with the ability to use your own initiative.
- Professional, reliable and safety-focused.
- Good communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
