About the Role
Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our well-respected client based in Poynton. Working Monday-Friday 8am starts (the client asks for flexibility on the start times depending on the planning etc).
This is a temp to perm contract, so once 65 shifts are completed with Driver Hire you will go full time with the client.
Please also note that if deliveries are completed early you will be asked to assist in the warehouse.

Duties
- Driving the HGV vehicle safely and responsibly while complying with all road traffic laws.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Maintaining regular communication with the branch regarding your daily progress.
- Completing all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- A full UK driving licence.
- A valid HGV Category C (Class 2)
- A valid Driver CPC qualification.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- No DD, DR, IN, or TT endorsements.
- 6 months’ relevant HGV driving experience (preferred).
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.

Pay Rates
- Paid weekly via PAYE
- HGV Class 2 Driver
- £16.25 per hour – Minimum 8 hours
These rates include holiday pay, if you prefer to accrue holiday separately, then the rates become:
- £14.50 per hour – Minimum 8 hours
When you go full time with our client you will receive £14.50ph and 25 days holidays per annum
