Driver Hire Carlisle are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver (CAT C) role on a temp-to-perm basis for our well-known and established client in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity to join our nationally recognised distribution client. This will involve RDC runs across the UK, loading and unloading cages, and supporting the DC with parcel distribution. With flexible hours of work available, we have an opportunity to suit your needs.
What We Offer a Class 2 Driver:
- Potential up to £18.11 PER HOUR PAYE ADV (shift dependant)
- Shifts run across Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday
- Average shift length 10 hours
- Start times between 03:00am-07:00am
- Temp-Perm for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities for a Class 2 Driver:
- RDC runs with parcels in cages/lockers
- Curtain-siders
- Use of tail lift and pump truck
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork in line with company and legal requirement
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, transport regulations, and working time directives
- Always represent the company professionally
Experience & Qualifications for a Class 2 Driver:
- Valid Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digi Card
- Minimum 1 year class 2 experience
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
- Pallet drop or site delivery experience would be an advantage
