About The Role
The HGV Class 2 Driver position in Gloucester offers a permanent, full-time contract with Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial. The role involves completing between 2 and 10 drops per day, delivering high-quality goods to customers using tail lifts, pallet trucks, and sack trucks. You will be responsible for safe and efficient deliveries while providing excellent customer service. The position includes manual handling duties, moving units and boxed products.
Key Duties
- Completing between 2 and 10 deliveries per day.
- Safely operating tail lifts, pallet trucks, and sack trucks.
- Loading and unloading goods as required.
- Carrying out manual handling duties, including moving units and boxed items.
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Adhering to all road transport and health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and completing daily vehicle checks.
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
- Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation.
- Supporting the operation with occasional 7.5T driving when required.

What We're Looking For:
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Current CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- A maximum of 9 penalty points for minor offences.
- Previous multidrop experience is advantageous.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Willingness to undertake manual handling duties.
- Reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out a hands-on role.
