A genuine working hours commitment
Working hours are measured across three separate 17-week reference periods each year. During every individual reference period, the average actual working week is guaranteed not to exceed 45 hours. Drivers receive 45 hours guaranteed pay even when their work is completed in fewer hours.

About the position
This is a full-time, on-site HGV Class 2 Driver role based in Bury, Greater Manchester. The driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles safely, completing scheduled deliveries, and ensuring goods are loaded, secured, and unloaded in line with company procedures. Day-to-day tasks include conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, following planned routes, adhering to transport and safety regulations, and maintaining accurate delivery and vehicle records. The role also involves communicating professionally with customers and the operations team, reporting any issues promptly, and supporting general logistics activities as required.
The role involves physical multidrop deliveries of carpet, vinyl and associated flooring products to customers across the North West, North Wales and Yorkshire. Applicants must be physically able and comfortable handling long, bulky and sometimes heavy products during the delivery process.

Qualifications
- Strong truck driving skills, including experience operating HGV/Class 2 or equivalent trucks.
- Ability to safely manage loading and unloading tasks while protecting goods and equipment.
- Knowledge of transport and safety regulations, such as DOT or equivalent UK and EU road haulage standards.
- Valid HGV Class 2 (or equivalent) licence and a clean driving record.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow delivery schedules and route instructions.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond calmly to changing conditions on the road.
- Basic vehicle maintenance awareness and commitment to safety checks and reporting defects.
- Previous experience in logistics, distribution, or commercial driving in the UK is beneficial.
