Great opportunity to work as an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader for our client, a company dedicated to keeping Bristol and the surrounding areas clean, safe and moving while supporting the city's sustainability goals.

Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 2 Driver Loaders in Bristol.

The rate of pay is £17.27 per hour.

This is a full-time role working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are:

  • 6am to 2:18pm

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader, your duties include:

  • Driving and operating Class 2 vehicles safely and legally in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
  • Loading, transporting and unloading waste and recycling materials to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Tipping vehicles at approved recycling and waste facilities while following health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly and accurately.
  • Using mobile IT equipment and completing paperwork and electronic records.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Communicating professionally with colleagues, customers and members of the public.
  • Working flexibly across operational locations including Albert Road, Avonmouth and Hartcliffe.
  • Following all company policies, procedures and training requirements.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will hold a valid Category C (Class 2) Licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

You will have a good understanding of HGV legislation, tachograph regulations, working time requirements and vehicle safety checks. Strong communication skills, a professional attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Applicants should be comfortable undertaking physical outdoor work, including moving bins, handling recycling containers and working in all weather conditions.

Experience within waste, recycling, cleansing or commercial collections operations would be advantageous but is not essential.
