We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Leyland on a permanent basis.
This is a delivery role supplying goods directly to shops. You will be working alongside a Driver’s Mate, who will assist you throughout the day with deliveries and unloading.
The Role
Your Duties Will Include
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle on scheduled delivery routes
- Delivering goods to shops and retail locations
- Unloading and moving goods using a sack truck
- Working closely with your Driver’s Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
- Completing vehicle checks and relevant delivery paperwork
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Ensuring goods are handled carefully and delivered to the correct locations

Shift Pattern
The Position Operates On a Rotating Shift Pattern
- Week 1: Monday to Friday
- Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday
The rota then repeats.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants Should Have
- A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A good understanding of drivers’ hours and working time regulations
- A reliable and professional approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- The ability to carry out the physical aspects of the role, including moving goods using a sack truck
