HGV Class 2 Driver (Plant Experience Essential)
Northampton | Temp to Perm | £15.00 per hour PAYE
Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with a background in transporting plant machinery? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Northampton for a reliable and professional driver to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.
The Role
- Driving a Class 2 Flatbed Beaver Tail vehicle
- Delivering and collecting plant machinery to customers and sites
- Covering a local 50-mile radius of Northampton
- Ensuring loads are secured safely and transported in line with regulations
- Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30am to 4:30pm
- No weekends
- Regular daytime work with local routes
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience transporting plant machinery
- Knowledge of load security and safe transportation practices
- A professional and customer-focused attitude

Pay & Benefits
- £15.00 per hour PAYE (£15.60ph when perm)
- 45 hours contracted per week, OT for any additional hours
- Holiday pay accrued separately
- Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate
- Stable Monday to Friday working pattern
- Local work with no nights out or weekend commitments
