Position: HGV 2 Dustcart Driver
Location: Basildon
Hours: 07:15 to Finish Monday to Friday
Salary: £21.24 per hour

About the Role
As a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will play an important role in keeping local communities clean by safely collecting household waste and recycling across the Basildon area.
- Drive a refuse collection vehicle on planned local routes
- Lead and work alongside a team of loaders throughout the shift
- Collect household, recycling, and garden waste from residential properties
- Empty waste at authorised disposal facilities
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete required paperwork
- Assist the loading team when operationally required
About You
We're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the right experience and a strong work ethic.
- Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence
- Have a minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Previous rear steer and dustcart/refuse vehicle experience is essential
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification
- Be physically fit and happy to assist with loading duties when required
- Demonstrate excellent awareness of road safety and teamwork
