HGV Class 2 Skip Driver
Location: Welham Green, AL9
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate (£25.50 per hour if standard rate is £17.00)
Contract Type: Long-term temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent
Workmate Agency are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our team based in Welham Green. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery, collection, and disposal of waste using skip vehicles while providing excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, collect, and transport skips to and from customer sites.
- Safely dispose of waste in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately.
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues.
- Provide professional customer service during collections and deliveries.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and road transport regulations.

Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 / LGV Category C Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous skip driving experience is essential.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and road safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
