Our teams carry out everything from sewer maintenance and network cleansing to CCTV inspections and pollution response, ensuring customers receive a safe, reliable, and resilient service every day.
Purpose of the role:
Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer-focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Southern Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.
Location:
Budds Farm Depot, Havant, Hampshire
Job Type:
Permanent, full-time
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week
Salary:
£42,522
Key Responsibilities:
- Travelling to residential sites via a specially equipped van in a two-person team, around the region
- Repair and maintain drainage systems, installing patch liners to carry out first-time-fix sewer and drain repair
- Utilise the Picote system to remove scale, roots, concrete, and other hard obstructions that high-pressure water jetting systems can't remove
- Survey the network of drainage systems and assess pip conditions to produce high-quality reports with the help of state-of-the-art drain surveying equipment
- Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided
- Delivering good customer service
- Maintaining good H&S practice while carrying out works
- Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
- To comply with health and safety responsibilities i.e. PPE / safe site setups protecting Lanes Group employees, the public, and other road users
- To be able to utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
- Liaising with the client regarding progress and any updates
- Ability to work unsupervised in all weather conditions utilising correct PPE, lone worker system, etc
- Dynamically risk assess site access & working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrival
- Provide support to your colleagues
- To conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment, and plant before/after use
- Report any defects or malfunctions in regards to training
- Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibility towards them
- Any other reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by management

Key Requirements
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in the use of High-Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential, as is Confined Space Entry training (AP2)
- You must have a HGV Class 2 licence, valid CPC, and have an up-to-date digi tachograph card
