HGV Drivers
Location: Newbury Operation Centre, RG19 6HN Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday Salary: Approx. up to £46,623pa (based on an average of 7 vehicle collections per day)
About the Role
We're recruiting HGV Drivers to join our team at our Newbury Operation Centre. As a Car Transporter Driver, you will be responsible for loading, collecting, and delivering accident-damaged vehicles, which often requires physical effort. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, offering a great work-life balance with no bank holiday work.
Copart is a global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, partnering with insurance companies, banks, and automotive businesses. Drivers must comply with all legal and company standards, performing vehicle inspections and reporting any issues encountered.
No transporter experience? No worries – we will provide 3 weeks of one-on-one training and ongoing CPC training. If you have a Cat C licence, you can upskill to C+E after completing your probation.

What we need from you:
- HGV/LGV Licence Class 1 or 2
- A good understanding of the EU ‘drivers' hours’ and ‘working time’ rules using a Tachograph
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in basic IT skills and the use of a handheld device
- Car transportation or recovery experience would be an advantage
