Days: 07:00 - 19:00. Nights: 19:00 - 07:00

About The Role

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious HGV Driver who takes pride in delivering excellent service. An HGV driver for OCS, the ideal candidate will be adaptable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing both local and long-distance delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely load, transport, and unload soiled linen and clean stock in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct local and long-distance deliveries to customer sites and operational locations.
  • Complete vehicle checks and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time and to the required service standards.
  • Adhere to all road traffic regulations, driver hours legislation, and health and safety requirements.
  • Work a variable shift pattern, including flexibility to support business needs.
  • Perform physically demanding duties, including manual handling of stock.
  • Work safely and effectively in all weather conditions.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when representing the company.

Essential Criteria

  • Valid HGV (Category C or C+E) licence with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Good understanding of driver hours regulations and road transport legislation.
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
  • Flexible and reliable approach to working hours and shift patterns.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience operating within an airport environment.
  • Knowledge of airport security procedures and airside operations.
  • Experience in the logistics, laundry, linen, or distribution sectors.
