Class 2 HGV Driver
Local Deliveries | 26-Tonne HIAB | 06:30-16:30 Monday-Friday | Overtime
Local driving. Regular hours. Home every day.
Join Selco as a Class 2 HGV Driver and become part of a branch team delivering building materials directly to our customers across the local area.
You'll be driving a 26-tonne HGV fitted with a HIAB, making multi-drop deliveries to local customer sites and homes.
Already have HIAB experience? Great. If not, don't let that stop you applying - HIAB training will be provided for the right candidate.
We want to be clear about what you can expect from the role:
- Salary £37,720.80 pro rata (£16.12 p/h) plus earn up to £150 a month personal performance bonus
- Basic working week of 45 hours
- Monday to Friday, 06:30-16:30
- 1-hour lunch break each day
- Alternate Saturday shift rota - paid at time-and-a-half
- Overtime available to suit business needs
- All overtime is paid at time-and-a-half
- Local deliveries with no nights away
- You'll be based from your Selco branch, returning to the branch at the end of your working day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to local customer sites and homes
- Driving a 26-tonne Class 2 HGV with HIAB
- Safely unloading building materials using the HIAB
- Completing daily vehicle and safety checks
- Making sure your load is safe and secure before leaving the branch
- Providing great customer service at every delivery
- Working closely with the branch team to keep deliveries running smoothly
- Following all relevant driving, safety and legal requirements
What We're Looking For
- A current Category C / Class 2 driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- A strong approach to safe and responsible driving
- Good customer service skills
- A positive attitude with a can do approach to tasks
