Role Overview
We are seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver/Shunter responsible for delivering pharmaceuticals safely and efficiently, supporting on-site shunting operations, and maintaining high safety and compliance standards. The role involves timely deliveries, on-site vehicle movements, accurate documentation, vehicle checks, load securing, and adherence to road regulations. Effective communication with the Transport Office and immediate reporting of incidents are essential.
Qualifications & Skills
Candidates must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence, Driver CPC Qualification, and a Digital Tachograph Card. A good understanding of driver hours and transport legislation, strong communication skills, and a safety-first attitude are required. Previous Class 1 driving or shunting experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods safely, punctually, and with excellent customer service.
- Support on-site shunting to ensure smooth distribution center operations.
- Communicate promptly regarding delays or issues.
- Complete delivery documentation accurately.
- Conduct vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Secure loads and follow safety and legal requirements.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Report incidents, defects, or safety concerns immediately.
- Uphold safety, compliance, and professionalism at all times.
