HGV Class 2 Driver Temp to Perm | Dagenham, Essex (RM9)

Earn up to £28.95 per Hour | Permanent Salary of £41,335 | Immediate Starts Available

WPRG Ltd is currently recruiting experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established client based in Dagenham (RM9).

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles
  • Multi-drop deliveries of baked goods
  • Delivering to supermarkets, convenience stores, and third-party customer sites across the South East
  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
  • Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally
  • Complying with driver hours, tachograph, and road transport regulations
  • Average 12-hour shifts
  • Early morning start times between 00:00 and 02:10

Working Pattern

We're looking for drivers who are available to work:

  • Thursday to Monday, or
  • Friday to Monday

Weekend availability is essential.

Pay Rates (First 12 Weeks Agency)

PAYE (Holiday Pay Included)

  • Weekdays £19.95 per hour
  • Saturday £22.53 per hour
  • Sunday £23.81 per hour
  • Bank Holidays £28.95 per hour

PAYE (Holiday Pay Accrued)

  • Weekdays £17.81 per hour
  • Saturday £20.11 per hour
  • Sunday £21.25 per hour
  • Bank Holidays £25.84 per hour

Permanent Opportunity

Following a successful 12-week agency period, you'll transfer to a permanent contract with:

What We're Looking For

  • Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Physically fit and willing to assist with loading and unloading
  • Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
  • Good customer service and communication skills
