HGV Class 1 & 2 Driver

Location: Scottish Borders & surrounding areas

Salary: Up to £53,040 per year (£17.00 per hour)

Hours: 4060 hours per week

Shifts: Day shifts, up to 12 hours

Contract: Permanent

Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers Welcome

HGV CLASS 1 & 2 DRIVERS WANTED FARM EGG COLLECTIONS

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join an established and growing operation in the Scottish Borders.

The successful driver will be responsible for collecting palletised eggs from farms across the local and surrounding areas and delivering them safely to designated sites.

There may also be opportunities to drive Class 2 vehicles, with the same hourly rate applying.

This is a permanent position offering regular work, consistent hours and the opportunity to earn up to £53,040 per year.

The Role

  • Collect pallets of eggs from farms across the local and surrounding areas
  • Safely load, secure and transport palletised egg products
  • Complete collections and deliveries in a timely and professional manner
  • Use vehicle tail lifts and pallet trucks
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
  • Complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation
  • Follow all health, safety, food hygiene and transport procedures
  • Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with farmers and customers
  • Carry out manual and physical duties associated with farm collections
  • Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism

Drivers Required

  • HGV Class 1 (C+E) Articulated vehicles
  • HGV Class 2 (C) Rigid vehicles
  • Class 1 drivers may also be required to drive Class 2 vehicles

What We're Looking For

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Previous HGV driving experience
  • Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
  • Good communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently and safely
  • Comfortable with manual and physical work
  • Experience with palletised deliveries, agricultural or food transport is advantageous
  • Experience using tail lifts and pallet trucks is desirable
  • Ideally based within the Scottish Borders or surrounding areas
