Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of commercial vehicles, including box trucks, flatbeds, and other non-bulk transport options, ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time across a range of routes. You will also play a key role in maintaining high standards of customer service and representing the company professionally at all times.

This position would suit someone who is flexible, reliable, and enjoys varied driving duties rather than a single fixed vehicle or route. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety are essential. Relevant HGV driving experience is required, and familiarity with different vehicle types is advantageous.

At Wynnstay, we believe in developing our people and offer ongoing training, support, and opportunities for career progression within a stable and respected organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, and other non-bulk freight carriers with manual transmissions.
  • Load and unload goods efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Deliver goods to multiple locations across assigned routes while adhering to schedules and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports.
  • Assist with moving equipment or freight within warehouses or yard areas when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
