Description

Ready to take the wheel in a role with great earning potential, guaranteed hours and a business that genuinely values its drivers? Join Enva as a Class 2 HGV Driver and become part of a growing, purpose-led company helping customers recover, recycle and manage waste responsibly every day. Based from Colwick, Nottingham, you will be out on the road, keeping essential services moving and representing a business where Safety First, Teamwork, Ownership, Excellence and Integrity are more than words — they shape how we work.

This is a permanent, full-time driving role with guaranteed 45-hour weeks, strong earning potential and the opportunity to build a long-term career in a business that is growing, investing and making a real environmental impact. You will deliver, collect and exchange skips, roll-on-roll-off containers and/or trade/FEL bins across a range of customer settings, taking pride in doing the job safely, efficiently and professionally.

You will be one of the trusted faces of Enva — meeting customers, solving practical challenges and making sure every job is completed to the right standard. If you enjoy being active, working independently, being part of a strong team and taking pride in a job well done, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive operation where good drivers are recognised, respected and valued.

Key Responsibilities

Every shift is different, but the goal is always the same: complete routes safely, deliver excellent service and work as one team to keep customers moving. You will have the confidence to manage your vehicle, paperwork, customer contact and on-site decisions with care, professionalism and pride.

  • Get out on the road each day delivering, collecting and exchanging skips, roll-on-roll-off containers and/or trade/FEL bins across varied customer sites.
  • Put Safety First on every job by following safe working procedures, risk assessments, company policies and site instructions.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks, keep your cab clean and safe, and report any defects, hazards, incidents or concerns promptly.
  • Take Ownership of Duty of Care requirements by checking waste, completing documentation accurately, securing and sheeting loads, and transporting waste safely.
  • Use handheld devices, tickets and paperwork accurately so customer records, job details and signatures are completed properly first time.
  • Make sure skips placed on the road have the right permit, lights and cones in place.
  • Provide a professional, helpful and friendly service to customers, acting as a positive ambassador for Enva on every visit.
  • Use sound judgement when dealing with access issues, abnormal loads, site restrictions or customer concerns, escalating anything that cannot be resolved safely.
  • Work closely with the transport team to keep routes moving, communicate clearly and support efficient, reliable service delivery.
  • Take part in end-of-shift debriefs, sharing updates on safety, vehicle condition, route challenges and ideas for improvement.
  • Bring Enva’s values to life by showing Teamwork, aiming for Excellence and acting with Integrity in every customer and colleague interaction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
