Role Overview
We are seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver/Shunter based at Derby Commercial Park. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, timely, and professional transportation of pharmaceutical products, supporting on-site shunting operations. This role involves delivering goods, maintaining communication with the Transport Office, completing accurate documentation, conducting vehicle checks, and adhering to safety and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Support on-site shunting duties for smooth distribution center operations.
- Report delays, issues, and incidents promptly to management.
- Complete and maintain accurate transport documentation.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance and safety.
- Secure loads and comply with transport legislation and company policies.
- Report safety concerns, vehicle defects, or incidents immediately.
- Maintain professionalism, safety, and compliance at all times.

Qualifications & Skills
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence and Driver CPC Qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card and good knowledge of driver regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Safety-conscious with a commitment to compliance.
- Previous driving/shunting experience is desirable.
