Location: Watton IP25 6JB
Full Time: 40 hours per week
Working hours: Monday - Friday 5.45am - 2.15pm, Monday to Friday including Saturday after bank holiday weekend.
Salary:

HGV Driver: £32,374.45 per annum + excellent benefits
7.5t Vehicle Driver: £30,576.04 per annum + excellent benefits + opportunity for funding for a Class 2 licence after a year

As an HGV Refuse & Recycling Driver/Loader in our Breckland team, you'll provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents and community in Watton. With a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse Collection colleagues, you'll help ensure streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, while providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Set off on a pre-planned route as the Driver with your team of Loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
  • Be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services team in the community.
  • Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting out on your rounds.

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you...

  • Hold a valid Class 1 licence (Category C+E), Class 2 (Category C) licence, Category C1 / 7.5t driving licence, or a standard car licence with older "grandfather rights" if passed before January 1997
  • Hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Are physically fit and healthy - due to the nature of the work
  • Are an enthusiastic, dedicated team player
  • Are willing to go the extra mile on your rounds to enable your team to hit their targets
