Location: Haywards Heath, RH16 1UA
Working hours: 39 per week Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Salary: £35,866 per annum / £17.68 per hour + excellent benefits
About the Role

Join our Haywards Heath team as an HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sustainable community. Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to residents and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, working alongside loaders to collect waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
- Serve as the public face of Serco in the community.
- Ensure the vehicle passes all safety checks and is clean and operational before each shift.
Your role also involves working collaboratively with the team—driving, assisting with loading, and ensuring rounds run efficiently.

Requirements
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Are physically fit and healthy (due to the demanding nature of the work).
- Are a dedicated, friendly, and professional team player.
- Are willing to go the extra mile to support your team and meet targets.
