Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for a role where safety, teamwork, and variety are part of your everyday work?
At EGGER Timberpak, we recover and recycle wood materials that support the manufacture of high-quality wood-based products. We are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Driver / Operator to join our team in Bellshill, helping to deliver an excellent service to our customers while supporting our recycling operations.
This is more than just a driving role. Alongside operating specialist vehicles, you'll play an important part in maintaining safety standards, supporting site activities, and contributing to the success of the wider Timberpak team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Operating Class 1 HGV vehicles safely and professionally.
- Delivering, collecting, and transporting wood recycling materials.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects promptly.
- Ensuring loads are safe, secure, and compliant before transport.
- Maintaining compliance with tachograph, transport, and road safety regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service when visiting customer sites.
- Adhering to customer site rules and company safety procedures.
- Reporting incidents, accidents, and hazards promptly.
- Maintaining vehicles in a clean and presentable condition.
- Supporting wider Timberpak site operations and housekeeping activities when required.
- Undertaking training to become competent across a range of Timberpak vehicles and equipment.

Essential
What we're looking for
- HGV Class 1 Licence (with a minimum of one year's experience).
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance.
- Good understanding of vehicle safety, load security, and driving legislation.
- Basic IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Driver's CPC (training can be provided).
Desirable
- Walking floor experience preferred; however, training can be provided.
- Mobile plant certification.
- Health & Safety qualification or training.
This role requires the ability to make sound, safety-critical decisions every day. You'll be responsible for assessing vehicle condition, load security, and site conditions, with the authority to stop operations whenever there is a risk to safety, legal compliance, or equipment integrity.
