HGV Mechanic
We’re hiring an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join our in-house workshop team at our Pilsworth depot in Bury.
This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing our modern, well-maintained HGV fleet, including rigids, trailers and tankers, helping keep vehicles safe, compliant and road-ready.
Package includes:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Shift: Day shift, no evenings or nights
- Saturday overtime: Minimum 2 Saturday mornings per month required (7am–1pm), with plenty of additional overtime available for those wanting to boost earnings

The role will include:
- Carrying out HGV servicing, inspections and repairs
- Working on rigids, trailers and tankers
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs
- Carrying out preventative maintenance
- Completing 6-weekly inspections
- Ensuring vehicles meet DVSA and safety standards
- Completing maintenance records accurately
- Supporting workshop stock control and parts management
We are looking for:
- Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Trailer experience, ideally with artics or tankers
- Level 3 HGV qualification or equivalent preferred
- Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence required
- A reliable, safety-focused approach
