Location: Rotherham
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience (£35,000 - £45,000)
Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible
We are currently recruiting for an On-Site Fridge Engineer / Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join an established transport and logistics operation with a fleet of 50+ HGVs and trailers, including refrigerated vehicles.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the company's refrigerated vehicles operational and ensuring refrigeration units are maintained to a high standard.

- Servicing and maintaining refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers, and vans
- Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration faults
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Working on fridge/freezer units across the commercial vehicle fleet
- Identifying mechanical and refrigeration issues and resolving them efficiently
- Helping minimise vehicle downtime across the fleet
About You
We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and has practical experience working with refrigerated vehicles or refrigeration systems.
- Previous experience as a Fridge Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer, or Transport Refrigeration Engineer
- Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers, or vans
- F-Gas certification or relevant refrigeration gas qualification
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- A practical, hands-on approach
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
