HGV Rental Sales Business Development Consultant
Location: Huddersfield (Can be hybrid for the right candidate)
Salary: £45,000, OTE £100,000
Industry: HGV / Commercial Vehicle Rental
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and driven HGV Rental Sales Business Development Consultant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the commercial vehicle industry and enjoys developing new business, building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions that meet customers' requirements. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing existing accounts and increasing HGV rental revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the HGV and commercial vehicle rental market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key decision-makers
- Generate leads through proactive outbound sales, networking, referrals and market research
- Understand customers' vehicle requirements and recommend suitable rental solutions
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to rental agreement
- Develop existing customer accounts and identify opportunities for additional business
- Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial terms
- Work closely with the rental, fleet and operations teams to ensure excellent customer service
- Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for business growth
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue and margin targets

About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in HGV, commercial vehicle rental, fleet, or a related B2B sales environment
- Confident dealing with business owners and other senior decision-makers
- A proven new-business developer who enjoys winning new customers
- Commercially aware and comfortable negotiating rates and contracts
- Highly organised with excellent follow-up skills
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- A strong communicator with excellent telephone, email and face-to-face sales skills
- Self-motivated, resilient and target-driven
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
