HGV Rental Sales Manager (OTE £100,000 p.a)

Required for an established specialist within the HGV rental sector, supplying flexible commercial-vehicle solutions to businesses across a range of UK industries.

The company currently operates a modern fleet of more than 250 vehicles and has significant expansion plans. The fleet is expected to grow to approximately 350 vehicles before reaching around 450 vehicles within the next 24 months.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced HGV Rental Sales Executive to generate new business and develop existing customer accounts.

The primary focus of the position will be identifying and securing new rental opportunities. You will also manage a portfolio of existing customers, increasing repeat business and identifying further opportunities within those accounts.

You will receive assistance from the customer service and marketing teams, together with access to a modern CRM system for managing enquiries, prospects, sales activity and follow-up actions.

This is an opportunity to join the company at an important stage of its development and contribute directly to its planned fleet and revenue growth.

Key Duties

  • Identify and approach organisations with current or future HGV rental requirements.
  • Develop a structured sales pipeline across agreed sectors and geographical areas.
  • Arrange customer meetings and site visits to understand fleet requirements.
  • Convert prospective customers into active rental accounts.
  • Manage incoming enquiries and progress opportunities from the initial discussion through to vehicle delivery.
  • Assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate vehicles, trailers or rental arrangements.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and commercially appropriate rental proposals.
  • Agree rates and rental terms within the company's commercial guidelines.
  • Work with the rental and fleet teams to confirm vehicle availability before finalising customer agreements.
  • Coordinate with the transport, workshop and customer service departments to ensure an efficient vehicle handover.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, quotations and follow-up dates within the CRM system.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
