About the Company
We are one of the UK's leading and most resilient food production companies, responsible for manufacturing and distributing some of the nation's most iconic, household-favourite food brands. Originally founded nearly a century ago, we have evolved from a traditional bakery business into a highly automated, 24/7 food manufacturing giant.
Our West Bromwich site is a high-volume hub that operates around the clock to meet demanding nationwide delivery schedules. Because our logistics operation is critical to our success, we manage our distribution completely in-house. We run our own dedicated, fully equipped vehicle maintenance workshop on-site to ensure our delivery fleet never skips a beat.
The Fleet You'll Work On
We invest heavily in our logistics infrastructure, ensuring our engineering team works on modern, reliable assets. Our dedicated West Bromwich fleet includes:
- Modern Generation Tractor Units & Rigids: A highly standardized fleet of brand-new 18-tonne rigid trucks and high-spec 6x2 tractor units primarily from leading manufacturers like DAF.
- Specialized Trailer Fleet: A large inventory of high-capacity double-deck trailers and modern tri-axle box vans.
- Advanced Technology: The workshop is equipped with the latest main-dealer level diagnostic software, and we are continuously trailing new fleet management tech and alternative-fuel vehicles.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
