Job Title: HGV Technician
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
Hours: 44 hours per week
Shift Options: Early, late or 4-on/4-off - very flexible depending on preference.
Location: Wellington
A well-established commercial vehicle recovery and fleet services business is looking for an experienced HGV Commercial Technician to join their workshop team.
This is a varied role working across the company's own fleet, customer vehicles on planned maintenance schedules and occasional retail repair work. The business operates a busy workshop environment and is looking for a reliable technician with solid hands-on HGV experience.
HGV Technician - The Role
- Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Complete MOT inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT.
- Carry out road tests where required.
- Work on the company's own fleet as well as customer vehicles.
- Occasionally deal directly with customers in a professional manner.
- Maintain a safe, tidy and efficient workshop environment.

HGV Technician - About You
- Experienced HGV / Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Time-served or professionally qualified.
- Good knowledge of hydraulics, electrics and vehicle diagnostics.
- Strong experience in servicing, repairs and fault finding.
- Experience with MOT inspections and MOT preparation.
- Polite, punctual and reliable.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clean driving licence preferred, although certain endorsements may be considered.
